Program Manager Assistant - Help Fill A Dream Foundation of Canada

Full-time, four month volunteer co-op position. Help Fill A Dream Foundation is a charitable organization that provides assistance to families of children, up to the age of 19, living with life threatening conditions within Vancouver Island. As a Program Manager Assistant I worked in liaison with many people throughout the community. Some of the duties I was in charge of included coordinating volunteer activities, evaluating program delivery, updating online databases and managing media relations. I was also a part of planning and delivering Dream reveals for children in the community.

As a support worker I used integration, inclusion and transitions techniques to get supported child to have fun and actively engage with all of the participates. As a camp leader I was in charge of supervising a group of children while having fun and keeping them safe. As a birthday host I organized, set-up and took down and supervised birthday parties.
